Delhi has now launched an app called “Delhi Liquor Booking” that will let you book alcohol bottles in advance through a mobile app. The platform, developed by the Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation (DSIIDC), aims to eliminate the problem of standing in long queues at liquor shops. Here’s how to use the app for booking.
Delhi Liquor Booking App Lets You Book Alcohol Bottles In Advance
In a move to make liquor shopping easier, a new Delhi Liquor Booking app has been launched for Delhi residents. According to The Times of India, the application allows customers to browse available brands, select bottle sizes and quantities, and choose a DSIIDC-operated liquor store for collection. The app does not offer home delivery, which means that customers must collect their orders from the selected store after booking. However, customers must collect their orders within 48 hours of booking and making the online payment.
The app eliminates the problem of standing in long queues outside a liquor shop and hoping that your favourite brand is in stock. You can simply check its availability through the app, book it, make the payment and then visit the selected retail outlet to get your hands on it. It will also reduce waiting times and ease the rush at payment counters.

Rules For Using This App
According to The Times of India, DSIIDC operates 208 retail stores across Delhi. The online booking facility will work only at its own stores. Now, let’s talk about the conditions and rules for using this app. Firstly, a customer should be at least 25 years old to use the Delhi Liquor Booking app. Secondly, excise rules allow an individual to purchase up to nine litres of whisky and 18 litres of beer.
Placing an order is also easy. Once you choose your preferred alcohol and pay for it, a QR code will appear. You can scan this code at the selected outlet to collect your order. Customers can also cancel their bookings before collecting their orders. However, they cannot return the products once they have collected them.
