New Overbridge To Connect Delhi Metro’s Green And Magenta Lines
The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is constantly working on making your Metro experience better. According to Business Standard, now, as part of these efforts, the authorities are planning a 160-metre-long foot overbridge between the existing Peeragarhi station on the Green Line and the upcoming Peeragarhi station on the Magenta Line. The new station is being built on the Krishna Park Extension-Deepali Chowk section. It is part of Phase 4 of the Delhi Metro expansion.
Around 90% of the work at the new Metro station in Peeragarhi has already been completed. It is expected to open this year. This interchange will make travel easier for Peeragarhi, Peeragarhi Village, Udyog Nagar and Paschim Vihar commuters.

Green And Magenta Metro Lines In Delhi
In Delhi, the Green Line runs between Inderlok-Kirti Nagar and Brig Hoshiar Singh. The Magenta Line currently has two separate operational sections. One runs from Botanical Garden to Krishna Park Extension, while the other runs from Deepali Chowk to Majlis Park. The Phase 4 project will build the missing section between Krishna Park Extension and Deepali Chowk.
By the time Phase 4 is complete, the Delhi Metro will have around 18 more interchange stations. For now, it has 31 interchange stations. These interchanges play a crucial role in making travel easier for commuters.
