DMRC Adds 40 Extra Trips To Curb Pollution In The City
Apart from running additional services for passengers returning from Chhath Puja, DMRC has also announced another important update. As per a report by Republic World, the authorities have begun operating 40 additional train trips on weekdays (Monday to Friday). This move is part of the Delhi government’s pollution control efforts.
Reportedly, Dr Vikas Kumar, Managing Director of DMRC, also inspected metro construction sites at Ashok Vihar and Derawal Nagar, along with the under-construction Krishna Park Extension-RK Ashram Marg Corridor under Phase IV. The inspection was done to review various anti-pollution measures being adopted at these construction sites. These include regular water sprinkling, wheel washing of vehicles, proper disposal and recycling of debris, and covering of construction material. DMRC has also reportedly installed 82 anti-smog guns across its construction sites to reduce pollution.
