Delhi Shoppers Attention! IKEA Is Coming To South Delhi At THIS Location On July 30

IKEA is a Swedish company that designs and sells ready-to-assemble furniture, kitchen appliances and home accessories. The brand is famous for its minimalist yet aesthetically pleasing designs. IKEA is now planning to expand its presence in the Delhi-NCR region with a new store in Saket.

IKEA Announces New Saket Store In Delhi NCR

Swedish company IKEA has now announced the launch of its second city-format store in Delhi NCR at DLF Avenue, Saket. The outlet will be spread across around 30,000 square feet and will cater to customers in South Delhi, Central Delhi and nearby areas. According to Hindustan Times, set to open on July 30, the Saket outlet will be IKEA’s fourth city-format store in India after Mumbai, Pune and West Delhi.

Reportedly, the brand has been in India for eight years and aims to operate 30 stores in the country by 2030. Globally, IKEA has been operating for more than 80 years and has sourced products from India for over 50 years. The brand entered the Indian market in 2018 with a store in Hyderabad and now has a total of seven stores across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi.

New Store Reflects The Lifestyle Of South Delhi Homes

According to Hindustan Times, the new IKEA store in Saket has been designed after extensive research into how people in South Delhi live, how they use their homes and what kind of furniture attracts them. Before opening the store, the IKEA team visited homes across neighbourhoods such as Malviya Nagar, Greater Kailash, Lajpat Nagar and South Extension to understand their lifestyle and furnishing preferences.

In South Delhi, people like their outdoor spaces and enjoy hosting guests. This is why the Saket store will reflect all that. The outlet has nine fully designed room settings inspired by local homes, combining Swedish design with Indian living habits. Shoppers can expect to see displays including multifunctional living rooms, home offices, wardrobes designed for Indian clothing, dining spaces and outdoor furniture. There are nearly 3,000 products, with 1,400 available for immediate takeaway.

And yes, like other IKEA outlets, the Saket store will also house the brand’s popular cafe serving hot dogs, bakery items and Indian snacks like samosas. The brand is also planning to open stores in Gurgaon in 2027 and in Noida in 2028.
