As per The Indian Express, in a meeting with the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) board, a proposal to start AC buses for full-day tours around famous spots in the city was approved. The plan is to start these buses on or before August 15, 2025. The Delhi Tourism Department has selected 9-metre-long DEVI buses that can accommodate 30 passengers for this service. Each bus will have one tourist guide who will explain the history behind famous spots to provide better knowledge.

Initially, the tourism department will run this project on a pilot basis with just three to four buses. Later, the number will be increased based on responses from locals and tourists. Along with buses, more locations will be added to the tour routes.

Multi-Language Audio System

One of the interesting features of these Delhi day tour buses is that they will come with a multi-language audio system to enhance the passenger experience. Each tourist will be given a headset, where they can select their preferred language. For example, if someone understands only Marathi, they can change the language to Marathi using the headset.

In a conversation with the Indian Express, a department officer said that whether the fare model will be based on a daily rate or a revenue-sharing model is still undecided. Ticket prices are expected to be ₹500 for adults and ₹300 for children aged 6 to 12. These AC buses will stop at each tourist spot for an hour, giving tourists time to explore.

If you’re willing to plan a Delhi trip with your friends or family after August, then don’t forget to book this AC bus tour; it would undoubtedly be a memorable experience!
