Loco Pilot Stops Train To Buy Samosas In Madhya Pradesh

It is natural for us to crave hot samosas when the weather is good and it is raining outside. But recently, netizens were angered when an Assistant Loco Pilot was seen buying samosas near Rangwasa Road in Rau on the Indore-Mhow section of Madhya Pradesh. The clip shared by an X user, @ImSoniya24, shows the Assistant Loco Pilot at a samosa shop near the railway track, buying samosas and then heading back to the halted train, after which the train resumes its journey.

The video is being widely shared online and, naturally, it has sparked criticism. Many people are questioning why a train appeared to be delayed just for buying samosas. According to NDTV, some people alleged that trains frequently remain at this location for several minutes, and railway staff often buy snacks from the shop.

Here’s What Actually Happened

As the video went viral, it also caught the attention of the railway authorities. According to NDTV, the matter has now been forwarded to senior officials for investigation. However, the authorities later posted a statement on X clarifying that the goods train CGPT was stopped at the Rau Home Signal due to engineering work that was being carried out.

During the stoppage, the Assistant Loco Pilot purchased samosas and kachoris from the nearby shop. This means the train was not stopped for the purpose of buying food. The authorities also wrote that the “Video of the incident has been shared with the wrong intention. It is falsely linking the stoppage to a passenger DEMU train.”

Netizens had differing opinions regarding the situation. Some people said it was wrong, while many others commented that the loco pilot is a human too and must have been hungry. Some also made funny comments like, “Train stopped just to get 10 samosas,” and, “Drivers ko bhook nahi lagti?”
