The new stations are part of a broader initiative to strengthen Delhi’s urban mobility network and make daily travel more convenient for residents. Scroll on to know more about this.

Delhi Metro To Build 4 New Underground Stations

According to Hindustan Times, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) is planning four new underground stations as part of the upcoming fourth-phase expansion of the metro network. The upcoming corridor connecting central and east Delhi will include four new stations: New Delhi, Delhi Gate, Delhi Sachivalaya–IG Stadium, and Indraprastha, aimed at improving accessibility and commuter convenience across the city.

The DMRC plans to design and build the full station structures, including platforms, concourses, and service corridors, with complete integration of architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical systems. All four new underground metro stations in Delhi will have permanent and temporary works required for safe operations, including cut-and-cover station boxes, base slabs, concourse slabs, intermediate slabs, roof slabs and side-wall structures.
