“Don’t Do This To A Bengali”, Creator Shocked After Seeing Rasgulla Ki Sabzi On The Menu

Nowadays, it’s quite normal to see people trying fusion dishes and giving classic food items a completely new twist. However, there are still some dishes that don’t really need an upgraded version — and one of them is our favourite sweet, Rasgulla. A video has now gone viral on the internet showing “Rasgulla ki Sabzi” on a menu. Scroll down to know more!

Viral Video Shows Rasgulla Ki Sabzi On The Menu

Recently, a content creator, Saikat Chakraborty (@saikatchakrabortyyy), shared a video on social media that left him shocked and disappointed. In the clip, he spotted “Rasgulla ki Sabzi” on a menu. Yes, you read that right. The sweet rasgulla was turned into a savoury dish. Not just him, even we are shocked seeing our favourite sweet being changed like this.

Saikat posted the video with the caption, “Don’t do this to a Bengali, please.” And honestly, many Bengalis and rasgulla lovers would relate to his reaction. In the video, rasgullas are shown dipped in yellow gravy, giving the traditional sweet a completely different twist that many people didn’t expect.

Netizens React To The Video

The video has now gone viral across social media and has divided netizens into two groups. While some people are trying to justify this new version of rasgulla, many others are clearly disappointed.

One user wrote, “Main Bengali nahi hoon, phir bhi mujhe bura lag raha hai.” Honestly, we kind of agree, this one hurts a little.

Another user supported the dish and commented, “Rasgulla, before adding the sweet syrup, is very similar to chewy paneer. So logically, this could actually work as a savoury paneer kofta-style gravy.” We see the logic, but we’re still unsure!

A third netizen joked, “Someone wanted to prepare malai kofta but read the wrong recipe.” Not going to lie, that made us laugh.

One more user wrote, “I’m a Nepali, and after seeing this, I’m scarred for life.” Dramatic? Maybe. Relatable? Also yes.
