In a video posted by an X user @iNikhilsaini, a foreign tourist can be seen causing a ruckus in Dharamshala’s market. According to India Today, the incident happened in Kotwali Bazaar, and the tourist was allegedly intoxicated. As seen in the video being shared online, the man can be seen tossing vegetables from a vendor’s stall and then catching them.
Apparently, he also pelted stones at a taxi, damaging the vehicle and causing panic in the area. Reportedly, several local residents and vendors tried to calm him down, but he continued to create chaos. During the commotion, he allegedly misbehaved with a female traffic police officer who was deployed at the spot. In the video, the foreign tourist can also be heard using foul language at one point.

Police Take Tourist Into Custody
According to India Today, police rushed to the area after reports of the incident spread. Fortunately, officials were able to bring the situation under control and took the man into custody. Following the incident, several local shopkeepers and residents have demanded stronger security arrangements in crowded market zones.
Police are now verifying details regarding where he had been staying and other information related to his visit. Netizens were quite angered after watching the video online. One user wrote, “Block his passport, he should apologise publicly.” Another user commented, “If an Indian tourist had done this abroad, the outrage would be everywhere by now.” Many people believed that the man appeared heavily intoxicated.
