Content Creator Shares Travel Hacks For International Trips

Drishti Sharma, who earlier worked as a corporate employee, is now a content creator, according to her bio on X. Recently, she shared a thread of travel hacks on her account. The tips were appreciated by many travellers, especially women planning solo international trips. According to Drishti, “Planning international trips as a female creator is no cake walk.” However, after several trials and errors, she has built a “tried and tested” process. She says this method helps keep travel safe and productive, without compromising on fun.

She began by asking travellers to question themselves. Why are you travelling in the first place? Is it for comfort, culture, adventure, or peace? Moving ahead, Drishti shared a few easy but useful hacks. She advised travellers to book flights and stays well in advance. She also stressed the importance of knowing basic information before landing in a foreign country. This includes understanding currency rules, SIM card options, common scams, and cultural do’s and don’ts. These small details can save travellers from confusion and unnecessary stress.

Local Apps, Public Transport & Indian Jugaad

Drishti also shared more travel hacks for international trips. She advised travellers to learn about local apps and translation tools, which can be really helpful. She also highlighted the importance of using public transport while travelling abroad.

She added that Google Maps can help with almost everything. From finding places to stay and eat, to commuting, exploring hidden gems, and more. She pointed out that metros are similar everywhere, while buses are “cheaper, easier, and more convenient.”  Some of her other tips included never travelling without an international credit or debit card, carrying emergency cash, and keeping some USD handy.

Her final suggestion was to always trust “your Indian jugaad instincts.”  If anything goes wrong, skills like decision-making, confidence, adaptability, and leadership can help travellers navigate tough situations easily.

All her travel hacks were quite straightforward and easy to follow. These tips can come in handy for anyone planning a solo international trip in 2026. Netizens also thanked her for sharing these hacks. One user wrote, “Valuable insights about travelling,” while another described them as “Priorities in check and fun guaranteed, sounds like a winning recipe.”
