Gautam Adani Is Now Asia’s Richest Person
With a net worth of $92.6 billion, Gautam Adani, founder and chairman of the Adani Group, is now Asia’s richest person. Mukesh Ambani follows closely behind with a net worth of $90.8 billion, making him Asia’s second-richest and the 20th-richest person in the world. The Indian Express noted that the shift comes after a strong rally in Adani Group stocks, which significantly boosted the entrepreneur’s wealth in a single day.
At third place is China’s Zhang Yiming, the tech entrepreneur and former CEO of ByteDance, with a net worth of $68.7 billion. He is followed by Zhong Shanshan, founder and chairman of Nongfu Spring, whose net worth stands at $68.2 billion.
It is worth noting that, apart from Gautam Adani and Mukesh Ambani, other prominent Indians on the Bloomberg Billionaires Index include Lakshmi Mittal at 62nd place, Shiv Nadar at 70th place, Shapoor Mistry & family at 71st place, and Savitri Jindal at 73rd place.
