Travelling to the Noida International Airport could soon become quicker and more convenient for commuters across the NCR, thanks to the proposed Ghaziabad–Jewar Namo Bharat Regional Rapid Transit System (RRTS). Currently in the Detailed Project Report (DPR) stage, the project is expected to provide a faster, more efficient, and sustainable mode of transport to the newly launched airport and here’s all you need to know about this.
Proposed RRTS Corridor To Cut Ghaziabad-Noida Airport Travel Time
According to Business Today, the proposed Ghaziabad-Jewar Namo Bharat RRTS is likely to slash travel time between Ghaziabad and the Noida International Airport to just 40 minutes. Currently, by road, to cover the almost 69 km stretch, it takes almost one and a half hours.
The proposed 72.44-km RRTS corridor is estimated to cost around ₹ 20,640 crore. It will not just cut down travel time but also improve connectivity and make travel seamless by connecting Ghaziabad with Noida, Greater Noida, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) region and Noida International Airport in Jewar.

Here’s All You Need To Know About This
Business Today reported that this proposed RRTS corridor between Ghaziabad and the Noida International Airport will be the fourth Namo Bharat corridor. National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) Managing Director Shalabh Goel has confirmed that the project is under consideration right now.
As per the proposal, the new Namo Bharat corridor will include 12 stations and two depots, strategically located at either end of the route. The planned stations are Ghaziabad, Ghaziabad South, Greater Noida West Sector IV, Greater Noida West Sector II, Knowledge Park V, Surajpur, Pari Chowk, Ecotech VI, Dankaur, YEIDA North Sector 18, YEIDA Central Sector 21, and Jewar Airport.
The corridor will be designed to operate at a maximum speed of 180 kmph. It is also expected to cut travel time between Ghaziabad and Noida International Airport to just 40-50 minutes.
