Ricky Kej Calls Out Air India Over Flight Issue

Taking to his X handle, Indian music composer and Grammy winner Ricky Kej (@rickykej) expressed his frustration with Air India. In his post, he shared that he was scheduled to fly from Bengaluru to Delhi on a 9:55 AM flight for a concert. He had booked a business class ticket, but upon reaching the airport, he was informed that the flight had been cancelled and he was shifted to a 10 PM flight instead.

In the comments section, he further criticised the airline’s services, calling them poor and saying passengers are sometimes left with no choice but to book such flights. He also pointed out that the airline’s website still showed the flight as on schedule. Calling out Air India, he accused the airline of “constant lapses, criminal negligence, crash, and safety issues.”

Air India Responds

This tweet by the Indian music composer quickly went viral on social media and even reached Air India. In response, the airline said they have noted his concern and are working on it as a priority. They also assured that they are looking for the best possible alternative and will connect with him shortly.

One passenger on the same flight commented, “The same thing happened to me on the same flight. There was no communication about the cancellation. When I asked why they were offering a late flight while an 11 AM flight was available on the website, the person at the counter said, ‘Sorry sir, it is overbooked’—which is illegal.”
