Haryana Sets Two New Guinness World Records With The Indian Flag

On social media, many videos are going viral mentioning that new Guinness World Records have been set. These two records were made on August 13, 2026. The organisers registered the achievements in the name of Gaurav Gautam from Palwal, Haryana.

Also, many people came out in support, with thousands of people taking part in the patriotic event and joining the march with the national flag. As per Bharat Express, the two records were for ‘Longest Mass March With Flag’ and ‘Most People Holding a National Flag’.

How Long Is The National Flag?

The Tiranga Yatra in Haryana featured a massive Indian flag measuring 5 kilometres in length and 10 feet in width. Thousands of people joined this long journey and proudly held the national flag. Along the route, the Yatra passed through 20 locations. Throughout the route people from different age groups, including children, women and adults, took part.

The Tiranga Yatra was organised as a tribute to India’s freedom movement. India is preparing to celebrate its 80th Independence Day, and these two recognitions have added to the celebrations. The event also supports the government’s ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
