Haryana To Get 131 Cultural Centres For Women To Host Various Programmes

Celebrating the Teej festival in Ambala, Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated 131 cultural centres for women, where they can host various events, and programmes. Along with this, he also launched “Lado Sakhi Yojana” for pregnant women.

Haryana To Get 131 Cultural Centres For Women To Host Various Programmes

To celebrate the Teej festival, the Haryana government announced several developmental projects. The most notable being the inauguration of 131 Mahila Sanskritik Kendras (cultural centres) in Haryana. The state CM also laid the foundation stone for various projects in Ambala worth ₹73 crore. While celebrating the Teej festival in Ambala, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated 131 culture centres where women can organise various programmes, events, and meetings. Along with this, the CM also laid a foundation for nine development projects worth ₹73 crore in Ambala.

As per Hindustan Times, during the event, Nayab Singh Saini spoke about how the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign was started ten years ago to improve female children. He also compared the 2014 sex ratio, which was 871 girls for every 1,000 boys; it is now 906 girls for every 1,000 boys. He added that the Haryana government will continue these welfare programs to bring positive change in the state.

Lado Sakhi Yojana In Haryana

Beside Mahila Sanskritik Kendra, another important welfare programme announced  by the Haryana CM was ‘Lado Sakhi Yojana.’ This program has been introduced for pregnant women and will provide continuous guidance and monitoring to ensure the health of both mother and child. The ‘Lado Sakhis’, who will help the government in this yojana, will be anganwadi workers, Auxiliary Nurse Midwives, and Accredited Social Health Activists.

Addressing the media, the CM also spoke about women brilliantly excelling in the start-up sector. He mentioned that the government is offering financial support to women’s start-ups to help them grow their businesses. 

Haryana’s Transport, Energy, and Labour Minister Anil Vij attended the Teej event and mentioned that most of the projects announced by the CM are being overseen by him. He also ensured timely completion of these projects. Further, he appreciated former Chief Minister Bansi Lal for many projects held in Ambala in previous years.
