Dutch traveller and content creator, Ivana, has never minced her words when it comes to her love for India. Having travelled far and wide across the country, she recently shared tips for first-time travellers to India. Her latest Instagram post slams people whom she feels are hypocritical for singling India out for its waste management issues while ignoring other destinations.
Dutch Woman Points Out Waste Management Issues In Countries Apart From India
Taking to her Instagram handle, Ivana pointed out a usual comment thrown at the country by foreigners. “Dirty country,” is what she commonly hears. “That’s a bit too much” is Ivana’s reaction. She did point out that while she has observed waste management issues in India, terming it “dirty” is hypocritical.
The content creator revealed in her post that the ” utter hatred for India is wild.” Instead of often terming India as a “trash hotspot”, she urged people not to ignore the trash in Bali or Lloret de Mar in Spain. “People feel entitled to throw logic out of the window and label the whole country dirty,” Ivana writes. Moreover, she pointed out that many people visit Delhi and Varanasi and often come to the conclusion that the whole country is dirty.

Apart from Goa, she has been to Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore. When it comes to the Silicon Valley of India, the Dutch woman admits she knows it like the back of her hand. Moreover, her trips have also taken her to the Himalayas and the exotic Lakshadweep.
Sharing receipts for the same, Ivana writes that she has a lot of data points for expressing her opinions. She promised to always shine a bright light on her favourite country. Netizens were quick to support her in her endeavour. A person commented, “India’s Brand Ambassador – Ivana Perkovic”, and another pointed out, “When the mind is clouded, it only notices flaws.” A Netizen even thanked her for highlighting our country’s goodness while acknowledging that we still have a long way to go.
