South Korea Group Visa Fee

Over the past few years, many countries around the world have been making travel easier for international tourists to boost tourism. As part of these efforts, visa rules are also being updated. South Korea is one such destination that continues to attract Indian travellers. Now, it has extended its group visa fee waiver for Indian tourists. Read on to know more!

South Korea Extends Group Visa Fee Waiver

South Korea, in a recent update, extended its group visa fee waiver for Indian travellers until June 30, 2027. Why? The country has taken this step to encourage more organised travel from India and make trips more budget-friendly for tourists who travel in groups. So, now more worries of the expensive trips!

As per NDTV, this policy means that the Indian travellers who go on approved group tours do not have to pay the usual visa processing fee. The standard fee is KRW 18,000, which is roughly around ₹1,155. However, with this waiver, eligible travellers can either save this amount or get the fee fully removed, depending on the group arrangement.

Who Is Eligible For This Benefit?

This benefit is not available for everyone. It applies only to group travellers. According to NDTV, to those who want to enjoy this benefit, travellers must book their South Korea trip through registered and authorised travel agencies. These agencies handle the visa process for the entire group. Travellers cannot apply individually under this scheme.

To qualify, travellers must be part of a pre-organised group tour. All documents are submitted through the travel agency. This makes the process more structured and reduces individual paperwork. The policy is helpful for families, student groups, and corporate teams who prefer organised travel. It reduces overall trip costs and makes planning simpler.

So, what are you waiting for? Plan your trip to South Korea, but only with your group!
