The International Cricket Council (ICC) has finally released the list of all 12 host cities for the 2027 ICC Men’s ODI World Cup. The World Cup will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Namibia from October 4 to November 21, 2027. Want to know more about it? Read on!
Venue Of The ICC Men’s ODI World Cup 2027
As per the official notice released by ICC, the tournament marks the return of the ODI World Cup to Africa after 24 years, with 57 matches scheduled across the three host nations. South Africa will host most of the tournament, while Zimbabwe and Namibia will stage some league matches. Namibia will also mark history by hosting a senior ICC tournament for the first time.
A total of eight venues in South Africa have been selected to host the matches. The venues consist of Wanderers Stadium (Johannesburg), Centurion (Tshwane), Newlands Cricket Ground (Cape Town), Kingsmead Cricket Ground (Durban), St George’s Park (Gqeberha), Mangaung Oval (Bloemfontein), Boland Park (Paarl), and Buffalo Park (KuGompo City, formerly East London).

Zimbabwe will host matches at Harare Sports Club (Harare), Queens Sports Club (Bulawayo), and the newly built Fale Mosi-oa-Tunya International Cricket Stadium in Victoria Falls, which will be making its World Cup debut. The new 10,000-capacity stadium is all set to be completed later this year. On the other hand, in Namibia, all World Cup matches will be played at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek, marking the country’s first time hosting a senior ICC event.
ICC World Cup 2027 Edition To Feature New Competition Format
The final of the match will be held at either Wanderers Stadium in Johannesburg or Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town. Meanwhile, Benoni and Potchefstroom have been selected as warm-up venues and are also scheduled to host matches during the 2027 World Cup Qualifiers.
ICC Chairman Jay Shah defined the tournament’s return to Africa as a historic moment for world cricket, pointing out the region’s passion for the sport and its increasing role in hosting global events.
