Travel experiences in India are becoming more comfortable, and the Vande Bharat Express is a great example of this. Not just Indians, even international tourists are impressed. Recently, a German traveller took a ride on the Vande Bharat Express and shared his experience on social media. Here’s how it went.
German Traveller Rides On Vande Bharat Express
A German tourist, Alexander Welder (@alexweldertravels), travelled in the executive class of the train and shared his experience on social media, calling it “India’s most modern train.” On entering upon coach, Alex was impressed with the seat arrangement, which he compared to high-speed trains in Japan and China.
He particularly noticed the spacious overhead luggage compartments, saying that even large suitcases fit easily. Another feature that caught his attention was the rotatable seats. He and his travel companion had fun turning the seats to face the window as the train moved. The German vlogger also highlighted the two types of toilets available on board: Indian-style and Western-style. He gave his audience a clear look at the facilities and explained how convenient they were for passengers.

Food On The Train
In the video, the traveller revealed that he only paid ₹2,100 for a five-and-a-half-hour journey and included the best services. He also received snacks as part of the ticket, such as packaged farsan and a juice tetra-pack. He was amazed at the variety of food included and commented, “How crazy is that?” The traveller also ordered his food online in advance, which included dal, sabzi, curry, chapati, rice, and ice cream.
This video quickly went viral all over the internet, and many netizens in the comments section praised the services. One user commented, “Thats really good price compared to Europe. Sometimes u don’t even get to sit in Germany without seat reservations if trains are very full.” One netizen added, “Love it when our guests from around the world enjoy our facilities to the extent of whatever is on offer. Atithhi Devo Bhavah!” Some users also recommended tourists try other luxury trains like Maharajas’ Express, Palace on Wheels, Golden Chariot, and Deccan Odyssey.
