Dishes Indians Ordered The Most On Swiggy
Swiggy’s 10th edition of its annual How India Swiggy’d report is out, revealing how and what foodies ordered. Biryani continued to be on top with a massive 93 million orders in 2025. It’s still India’s ultimate comfort food. Chicken Biryani was ordered on repeat, while burgers followed with over 44 million orders. Pizzas weren’t far behind, and the Veg Dosa stayed strong with over 26 million orders.
When the clock hit snack o’clock (3 PM to 7 PM), cravings took charge. Foodies reached for burgers first, followed by rolls, pizzas, nuggets, and the forever-favourite chai-samosa combo. Clearly, evenings were made for easy bites and big comfort.

Dessert lovers had a great year, too. White Chocolate Cake stole the spotlight with 6.9 million orders, while Chocolate Cake (5.4 million) and Gulab Jamun (4.5 million) followed closely. Desi mithai stayed close to the heart as Kaju Barfi (2 million) and Besan Ladoo (1.9 million) continued to be popular picks. When it came to ice creams, chocolate clearly won, with 3.3 million Dark Chocolate ice creams and 2.6 million Chocolate Sundaes ordered, proving some favourites never get old.
Foodies also got adventurous. Mexican (16 million orders), Tibetan (12 million+) and Korean (4.7 million) dishes made their way into carts, while matcha became the most searched global flavour. At the same time, love for local food grew fast, with Pahari cuisine seeing 9x growth, and Malabari, Rajasthani, and Malvani orders almost doubling in the past year. Dinner remained the favourite meal, with orders 32% higher than lunch.
