At least two people were electrocuted following the heavy rainfall in the city. As per NDTV, the deaths were reported in the Mylardevpally area of the city on Tuesday evening, when a low-tension streetlight cable was accidentally damaged and fell on the road during drain excavation work. The live electrical wire was said to have remained submerged in rainwater that had accumulated on the road due to continuous rainfall.
Monsoon To Hit Delhi, Bengaluru & Mumbai Soon
Where some parts witnessed heavy rainfall, the national capital sizzled with intense heat on Tuesday, with the Ridge area recording a maximum temperature of 43.4°C as per IMD. The weather department has stated that the southwest monsoon is most likely to reach Delhi NCR around June 25 and June 30.
The announcement comes after thunderstorms and light rainfall brought much-needed relief from the scorching summer heat across Delhi-NCR. The short spell of rain last week led to a drop in temperatures and better weather conditions. However, the main attention is on the arrival of the monsoon, which remains crucial for the region after weeks of scorching heat.
Bengaluru weather, on the other hand, is expected to remain the same with hot and humid conditions with chances of rain and thunderstorms today and over the next few days. For the next few days, similar hot and humid weather conditions will continue. The daytime temperature will range between 32-33°C, with warm nights around 22°C.
