India’s LPG Shortage Turns Into Meme Fest As Netizens Use Comedy To Lighten The Situation

The shortage of LPG cylinders in India has forced many restaurants to shut down or switch to using wood fire. However, even in this tense situation, people in India have found a new meme topic to make videos and posts about. And let me tell you, each one is more hilarious than the previous one. Viral LPG Memes That Turned Tension Into Comedy

In one video, Andy Evans (@theaussiebhai) took to his social media handle to show the most expensive vehicle in India. The vehicle was filled with LPG cylinders that he spotted in Gurgaon. And indeed, we can say it’s the most expensive vehicle for now.

The second video was even more hilarious. Sankit Harshita Rai (@sibling_love_7803) shared a video in which she decorated an LPG cylinder with a garland and welcomed it like a newlywed bahu. The girl brought the cylinder inside by kicking a rice-filled pot, followed by kanku pagla and leaving the print on a cloth.

Indians are known for their jugaad. Despite the shortage of LPG cylinders in India, people have their own smart ways ready. In a video, Anuj (@naamhaianuj) lit up around 5 to 6 candles and placed a pan on them to cook a meal.

Another post that caught our attention was shared on X by Mukesh (@mikejava85). On one side, a vehicle filled with LPG cylinders is shown, and on the other side, a scene from the movie Gangs of Wasseypur where a Manoj Bajpayee is holding a gun. The meme was posted with the caption, “ME after seeing the LPG cylinder filled tempo.”

Lastly, Sagar (@sagarcasm) posted an image where one man is sitting on top while others are scattered on the ground. The image includes the text, “Desi people with chulha watching others panic for LPG.”

In one meme, Shah Rukh Khan’s iconic entry scene from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham is edited with him carrying an LPG cylinder, while Jaya Bachchan waits with an aarti plate. Many other videos also show how Indians are creatively using candles and heaters to cook their meals during the shortage. 

We hope the LPG cylinder shortage issue gets under control soon, and the many restaurants that were forced to close temporarily can start operating again.
