A Sneak Peek Into Amrit Bharat Express 3.0
Ministry of Railways (@RailMinIndia) took to their X handle to share images of Ashwini Vaishnaw inspecting the sample coaches of the upcoming Amrit Bharat Express 3.0. What really caught our attention was getting a glimpse of how the coaches in this new train will actually look. This sample coach showcases an improved design, modern interiors, and new features aimed at enhancing the overall travel experience.
The Financial Express reported that one of the biggest upgrades by Indian Railways in Amrit Bharat Express 3.0 is the addition of AC coaches. Earlier, the train only had general and sleeper class options, but now, that’s changing. Finally, no more sweating it out on long journeys. With air-conditioned coaches coming in, travel is set to feel way more comfortable and relaxed. Honestly, this upgrade was long overdue!

More Upgrades In This Upcoming Train
The interiors will now have a coordinated colour scheme across everything, from flooring and seats to berths, curtains, snack tables, and even washrooms. Sounds quite put-together, right? Plus, all the materials used meet HL3 fire safety standards, so safety is clearly a big priority here.
Moreover, the trains will come with improved toilet facilities, making them cleaner and much easier to use. Honestly, this is something every traveller will appreciate.
What makes this even better is that the design is not just for show. It is based on real experience from Amrit Bharat Express 1.0 and 2.0. The railways have actually looked at what worked and what didn’t. They have used those learnings to make the coaches more efficient and user-friendly.
