On Friday, iPhone 17 officially hit the shelves, and the craze for Apple’s latest device was evident as tech enthusiasts lined up well before sunrise to be among the first buyers. According to NDTV, the frenzy even led to a fist fight at Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex Apple Store, where eager customers clashed while trying to purchase the new variant.
The now-viral video shows men lining up outside the glass-fronted Apple store at BKC, throwing hands at each other to enter the store. The fight erupted suddenly, and people could be seen slapping and hitting each other. Security personnel had to intervene and ensure public safety. They were seen charging at the miscreants and removing them from the crowd to avoid any further disruption.
Tech Enthusiasts Line Up To Buy New iPhone 17 In India
The craze for the new iPhone 17 can be understood by the fact that tech enthusiasts in Delhi and Mumbai lined up outside the Saket and BKC stores, respectively, before sunrise on Friday morning! According to Hindustan Times, a lot of people gathered outside the Mumbai store long before the opening hours and waited patiently to buy the new gadget. One customer from Jogeshwari told PTI that he was in line since 3 AM and had been waiting for the last six months for the new iPhone 17.
Delhi also saw huge crowds waiting patiently outside the Saket store. Some customers told PTI that they had been waiting since Thursday night to ensure they get their hands on the new phone, with many particularly interested in the new orange variant.

Apple’s iPhone 17 series ranges between ₹82,900 and ₹2,29,900, and is available for purchase in India from September 19.
