Uttar Pradesh has invited tenders for a 74-km access-controlled expressway connecting Noida International Airport with the Ganga Expressway via Bulandshahr. The six-lane corridor, which can eventually be expanded to eight lanes, is expected to provide a major eastbound connection for the airport and the wider NCR. Scroll down to know more.
74-Km Expressway To Link Noida Airport With Ganga Expressway
As per a report by Moneycontrol, the state cabinet has authorised the project and set a three-year completion deadline. The proposed corridor will start from the Yamuna Expressway near Film City in YEIDA Sector 21, around the 24.8-km point, and end near Syana in Bulandshahr, where it will connect with the Ganga Expressway.
The alignment will pass through 56 villages, including eight in Noida and 48 in Bulandshahr. Land acquisition is already underway, with nearly 90% of the required land in the Yamuna Authority area reportedly acquired. The project will include seven underpasses, 11 minor bridges, three major bridges, one flyover and four railway overbridges. Service roads, interchanges, drainage systems, CCTV cameras, traffic management systems, emergency telephones and a dedicated control centre are also planned.
Construction will be divided into two sections. The first, spanning 24 km, will connect Bhaipur Brahmanan in Greater Noida with Bichaula village in Bulandshahr. The remaining 50 km will run from Bichaula to Bahanpur near Syana. Around 20 km of the route is expected to pass through the upcoming New Noida region, officially known as the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region.

Part Of Wider Connectivity Push Around Jewar Airport
The expressway is part of a larger road infrastructure push around Noida International Airport. Other projects include the 50-km Yamuna Pushta Elevated Road, Chilla Elevated Road and Faridabad-Jewar Greenfield Expressway. The new corridor is expected to give motorists travelling towards Bulandshahr and the Ganga Expressway an alternative to existing routes, potentially reducing pressure on the Yamuna Expressway and roads around Greater Noida.

For commuters, the biggest benefit could come from improved access between the airport, eastern Uttar Pradesh and the Ganga Expressway. Its eventual impact, however, will depend on how efficiently it connects with other planned expressways, local roads and transport networks.
