Kerala To Get Airline-Like Business Class Bus Services
The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) is planning to launch an ‘airline model’ business class bus service. With this initiative, they plan to make long-distance road travel smoother and more comfortable. According to The New Indian Express, the upcoming premium service will feature custom-designed 25-seater buses equipped with air suspension.
KSRTC officials have confirmed that the new bus will come with luxurious, electronically operated reclining seats imported from Vietnam and China. Each seat will include a personal smart TV and headphones. Passengers will be able to connect their Android devices to stream their own content or choose from KSRTC’s entertainment options, which will include songs and comedy clips.
Wait, the best part is yet to be revealed. A key highlight of the service is its in-flight-style food system. Each bus will have a trained hostess and a small pantry with a microwave.

All You Need To Know About This New KSRTC Bus Service
The first route for this luxury service will be between Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam. Once the widening of National Highway 66 (NH 66) is completed, the bus will cover this stretch in just about four hours, or even three-and-a-half hours. These buses will run as non-stop express services.
KSRTC plans to expand the bus service to Thrissur once the NH construction work on that section is completed. The schedule will include morning departures from both Thiruvananthapuram and Ernakulam, and evening return trips.
