After Makar Sankranti, India is now gearing up for the Republic Day celebrations with several events across the country. Among them, the Republic Day special Lalbagh Flower Show has already begun in Bengaluru. The 13-day-long event is expected to attract thousands of visitors. Here’s all you need to know about this flower show.

Lalbagh Flower Show In Bengaluru

The Republic Day special Lalbagh Flower Show 2026 has already begun. With its vibrant floral displays and cultural themes, it’s already drawing thousands of visitors. This year, Bengaluru is hosting the 219th Lalbagh Flower Show, which started on January 14, 2026, and will continue till January 26, 2026.

According to Goodreturns, this year’s flower show follows the theme “The Journey of Tejaswi.” It honours the life and work of celebrated Kannada writer, environmentalist, photographer, and nature lover K.P. Poornachandra Tejaswi. Visitors will be awestruck by the floral structures, village-style settings, forest-themed displays, and wildlife-inspired installations. Nature lovers can enjoy exotic plant displays and see nearly 300 varieties of wild fruits, including edible and non-edible ones. A special photo gallery features 150 bird photographs and 250 insect specimens, showing Tejaswi’s deep love for nature. 

With its rich storytelling and visual appeal, the show is truly a must-visit for nature and culture lovers. The event also features folk culture performances, including Dollu Kunita, along with fibre-root sculptures and large wooden carvings crafted from fallen trees within Lalbagh.

How Many Flowers Are Used This Year?

Around 32 lakh flowers are being used this year, with nearly 27 lakh grown locally. The remaining flowers have been sourced from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra, and Darjeeling, reported Goodreturns.

Entry tickets are available online and offline at gates such as Double Road, Siddapura, West Gate, and Main Gate. Ticket prices are ₹80 for adults on weekdays, ₹100 on weekends and public holidays, and ₹30 for children below 12 years.
