Manimahesh Yatra Registration Is Now Open For 2026
Manimahesh Yatra is one of North India’s most revered Himalayan pilgrimages dedicated to Lord Shiva. According to Hindustan Times, online registration began on August 5, and the yatra is scheduled to commence on August 25, with a maximum of 5,000 devotees allowed to register and undertake the yatra in Himachal Pradesh every day. The daily number of pilgrims may be increased, but it solely depends on the weather conditions.
Keep in mind that registration is mandatory, and no devotee will be allowed to enter the pilgrimage route without it. Currently, registration for the Manimahesh Yatra 2026 is open for the first three days: August 25, 26 and 27. Devotees are advised to wait for registrations to open for other dates if they are planning the yatra later.
The registration is easy. Just visit the District Chamba official portal and click on the registration link. Fill in the details, upload the required documents, pay the fee, then download the acknowledgement and keep it safe.

Authorities Have Taken Extra Precautions This Year
According to Hindustan Times, pilgrims will be required to carry a hard copy of their registration confirmation. It will help officials verify it easily at the check posts. Furthermore, a special weather forecast link issued by IMD has also been made available on the official Manimahesh Yatra website. It will make it easier for pilgrims to access weather updates for the region.
Reportedly, in 2025, heavy rain triggered flash floods that washed away several parts of the Chamba-Bharmour Highway. Around 15,000 devotees were left stranded, prompting a massive rescue operation by road and air. That is why the authorities are taking extra precautions this year.
