Gaggan Anand Is Coming Back To India With Raga
In a conversation with Vir Sanghavi on Culinary Culture, the Michelin-starred chef Gaggan Anand declared his ‘coming home’. He revealed that in collaboration with chef Rydo Anton, he is opening a restaurant in Delhi. And that too at one of the iconic locations in the capital, which is at India Gate.
And you know what make the name more special? The name RAGA came up by mixing Rydo Anton RA and Gaggan Anand GA. And he also connected it to the music. The chef also mentioned that he plans to open RAGA as a wedding catering. This place is expected to open around summer in 2026. Also, he mentioned that he wants to be price-friendly and is targeting ₹8,000.

What’s Gaggan Anand’s Next Plan?
After he successfully opens his restaurant, RAGA, in New Delhi, Gaggan Anand revealed that he is also planning to start hotels. He would like to name them Gaggan Hotels. However, he didn’t share many details, as he doesn’t want to jinx it yet. He also mentioned that once he completes this format, he would move on to cooking something he has always wanted to. This means he already has a plan for his next restaurant, and honestly, we can’t wait to see what special he brings next.
Gaggan Anand is a Kolkata-born chef known for redefining modern progressive Indian cuisine. Based in Bangkok, his restaurant Gaggan gained global fame and was ranked Asia’s best many times.
