Mumbai’s Tallest Ganpati Gets A 351 Kg Sugar-Free Modak From Chef Harsh Kedia; Pics Go Viral

For the 2026 Ganeshotsav festival in Mumbai, a special and massive sugar-free modak was made for the famous Sakinaka Cha Maharaja, Mumbai’s tallest Ganpati. The modak weighs 350 kg and measures 4 feet in height. It was crafted with so much love by India’s diabetic chef Harsh Kedia.

A Massive Sugar-Free Modak For Sakinaka Cha Maharaja In Mumbai

Harsh Kedia, a chef, marked Ganeshotsav celebrations in Mumbai by creating what is believed to be the world’s largest sugar-free sweet and India’s largest sugar-free modak for Sakinaka Cha Maharaja, Mumbai’s tallest Ganpati. The Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in Mumbai are marked with sweet Ukadiche Modaks made with jaggery and sugar. But this modak is completely sugar-free and diabetic-friendly.

It is four feet tall and weighs 351 kg. You won’t believe that creating this massive modak took 20 hours of making, along with pure devotion and love for Lord Ganesha. It was also topped with chocolate made with Indian-grown cacao.

Chef Harsh Kedia took to Instagram to share the moment and even wrote, “This Modak is emotional because it is an offering to Bappa. After spending years trying to create food that brings people joy without compromising on what we believe in, being given the opportunity to make something on this scale for Ganpati Bappa is something we will always cherish. We are deeply grateful to God, to Bappa and to everyone who trusted us with this opportunity. From our hands to Bappa’s pandal, with a whole lot of love. Ganpati Bappa Morya!
