A Bengaluru woman recently returned from the UK and realised one important thing. It was how amazing the Bengaluru Metro is in comparison to the famous London Underground, also known as ‘the Tube’. Even though London is known for its infrastructure, this woman still feels that the Namma Metro is more comfortable, clean, and cool. Here’s why!
Woman Compares London Underground With Bengaluru Metro
The subway system in London, known as the London Underground or the Tube, is famous for being the world’s oldest underground railway. It is also quite iconic. But a Bengaluru woman still feels that it cannot beat the Namma Metro back home. She recently took to her Instagram account (@_hatitude.girl) to share why.
Apparently, she was recently in the United Kingdom when she took the London Underground from the city towards Tower Bridge. Suddenly, she realised that she was sweating and thought, “Why am I sweating inside a metro?” This is when she realised that many trains and stations on the London Underground do not have air conditioning.

Cool, Comfortable & Designed For The Weather
According to @_hatitude.girl, during busy hours, the underground stations in London get warm and crowded. This came as a big cultural shock to her. She then explained how in the Bengaluru Metro, all stations and trains are fully air-conditioned. Unlike the London Underground, she described the Bengaluru Metro as “cool, comfortable and designed for the weather”.
She ended her post by writing, “Travel really gives perspective. Sometimes the things we take for granted at home turn out to be luxuries in other parts of the world.” And honestly, we agree with her. Things abroad might look better on social media and lead to comparisons, but until we explore them ourselves, we don’t realise that our home country also has many things that are better.
