Having been accustomed to seeing celebrities on TV, it may not be surprising if you fail to recognise them in person. You wouldn’t expect to see them hanging out at a mall, trekking in a mountain or shopping for groceries like regular folk. Recently, a travel vlog turned into a social media moment after a woman failed to recognise Indian cricket stars Shreyas Iyer and Washington Sundar hiking in Dharamshala.

Woman Fails To Recognise Team India Cricketers On A Hike

A woman took to her Instagram handle (@dreamy.piaa) to share a reel of a trekking expedition in Dharamshala. What started as a search for a hidden waterfall led to meeting a group of men casually going about their trek. The woman mistook them for fellow trekkers and continued with her hike, that was, until she noticed something odd. People stopped them for photos and posed with them.

So driven was she towards reaching the hidden waterfall in Dharamshala, that she didn’t quite ponder on the happenings around her. After a satisfying trek and a well-filmed travel vlog, she reached home. And when she showed her travel vlog to her loved ones, she then realised that the men who walked with her were none other than Indian cricket superstars Shreyas Iyer and Washington Sundar.

Sheepishly, she wrote in her caption: “Hidden waterfall ki talaash me nikle the, Team India mil gayi (I searched for hidden waterfalls but found Team India).” Assuming the duo were fellow trekkers, the woman casually interacted with them during the hike, only to realise she met two of India’s most recognised sports stars. An ordinary travel memory with a friend turned into a legendary one.

Netizens Call Her “Lucky”

In the first reel posted by @dreamy.piaa, the woman and her friend are seen traversing boulders. Shreyas Iyer and Washington Sundar, in simple casuals, are seen posing for the camera and hiking. In her second reel, she revealed about not being a follower of cricket.

Meanwhile, how would you react if you met Team India on a hike?
