Taking to her Instagram, Nimrat was seen offering prayers at the shrine of the Gangeshwar Temple. She touched each of the five Shiv Lingas and folded her hands as waves from the Arabian Sea crashed around the temple. In other pictures, the actress posed near the temple entrance and explored the premises.

In her caption, Nimrat wrote, “May Mahadev’s divine blessings wash away all our troubles and strengthen us from within…Happy Sawan Shivratri all…नमः पार्वतीपतये हर हर महादेव॥”
The Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple is an ancient shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, located in Fudam village, around 3 km from the Diu bus stand. What makes the temple especially unique is its roofless, cave-like structure perched along the rocky coastline of the Arabian Sea.
The temple is home to a row of five naturally formed rock Shiv Lingas of different sizes, buried in the tidal floor. The surrounding rocks also feature carvings of Lord Ganesha, Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi. A carving of Sheshnag can be seen above the deities, adding to the unique setting of the shrine.
Best Time To Visit Gangeshwar Mahadev Temple
If you are also planning to visit the Gangeshwar Temple in Diu, then we have got you covered. The temple is open daily from 6 AM to 9 PM. However, the experience of visiting the shrine depends heavily on the tide. During high tide, seawater can completely cover the Shiv Lingas, leaving only their tips visible as waves wash over the rocks. During low tide, the water recedes, allowing devotees to approach the stones and offer prayers.

While the temple remains open throughout the year, October to March is generally considered a more suitable period to visit. During the monsoon months of July to September, rough seas can make access to the lower part of the temple difficult and potentially unsafe.
