Air India Becomes First Airline To Launch Direct Flight To The Philippines

Answering the long plea of Indian travellers for a direct connection, Air India has launched non-stop flights between the capitals of India and the Philippines. According to The Times of India, to make travel seamless for flyers, Air India has successfully launched non-stop flights between Delhi and Manila, the Philippines. The services began in October 2025, making the airline the first to offer a direct connection between the two countries.

Air India strategically launched its Delhi-Manila route following the Philippines’ recently announced visa-free entry for Indian citizens. Indian travellers can now enjoy 14 days of visa-free stay in the Philippines, making it a perfect getaway for travel lovers. These direct flights are likely to boost trade, tourism, and education, and improve bilateral ties between the two nations. The direct flight will significantly reduce travel time and allow travellers to enjoy their vacation without the stress of layovers.

All You Need To Know About This Route

As per The Times of India, Air India’s direct flights to Manila, the Philippines, will operate on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays from Delhi. The airline will use Airbus A321LR aircraft on routes AI 2362 (Delhi to Manila) and AI 2361 (Manila to Delhi).

The flight will depart from Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport at 1:20 PM (IST) and reach Manila’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport at 10:40 PM (local time). On the return journey, it will leave Manila at 11:40 PM (local time) and arrive in Delhi at 3:50 AM (IST) the next day.
