Where Couples Are Travelling This Valentine’s Day?
A big jump is witnessed compared to last year! Agoda looked at hotel search data for the Valentine’s Day weekend and revealed that Pondicherry topped the list with a 48% rise in searches. And honestly, it’s not hard to see why. This place is perfect with its peaceful beaches, sea-facing promenades, and French-style streets. Also, how can we forget to add cosy cafés, boutique stays, and dreamy ocean views?
Varkala came next with a 41% rise in travel interest compared to last year. This beautiful beach town in Kerala is winning hearts with its stunning cliff views of the Arabian Sea. Moreover, the guesthouses and cosy cafés give the whole place a super romantic vibe.

Other Places That Caught Couples’ Interest
Chennai recorded a 38% increase in searches from last year. Couples choose the city for its mix of beaches, culture, and urban comfort. If you’re visiting this place, don’t miss out on spending romantic time at Marina Beach and also visit famous temples, museums, and lastly restaurants for amazing food.
In Maharashtra, Lonavala saw a 36% rise in accommodation searches compared to the previous year. This place is the perfect spot for the weekend and spending time in nature. It looks beautiful with hills, waterfalls, and nature trails. In the north, Udaipur registered a 33% increase in travel interest. Known for its lakes and grand palaces, the city continues to attract couples.
