Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Raj Nidimoru’s December 1 wedding photos are all over Instagram. The couple tied the knot in a serene Bhuta Shuddhi Vivaha Ceremony at the Isha Yoga Centre. Unlike many weddings these days, which are loud, Samantha’s wedding was not just intimate but had that touch of purity that made it grab headlines. The wedding was held at the Linga Bhairavi Temple in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu and was spiritually rooted. According to a report by LiveMint, the wedding began early in the morning at 6 am with only 30 guests in attendance.
But talking about the food? It looked extremely delicious. Shilpa Reddy, a fashion designer and close friend of Samantha, has shared more glimpses from the wedding on her Instagram account. The food was a traditional South Indian feast with rice, dal and seasonal vegetables. The image showed a thali with colourful food sitting on a banana leaf, and you should know that the food was prepared according to strict adherence to sattvic rules, reflecting Isha Foundation’s core beliefs and values.

Talking about the dishes, the thali included dal, rice, carrot and beans palya, ragi balls, cucumber salad and a small portion of purple sweet rice. It reflected authentic Tamil Nadu flavours and culture. The food was made without excess spices and came from The Pepper Vine Eatery, a cafe at the Isha Yoga Centre.
The Pepper Vine Eatery, which opens daily, serves South Indian dishes to visitors. You can expect fresh fruit juices, milk, tea, coffee and tasty vegetarian snacks. A must-try item from their menu is their eggless cake, available in carrot, nut and chocolate flavours.
All in all, we could say Samantha and Raj’s wedding has certainly set a new benchmark for how Indian weddings should be. Big fat weddings are great, but there is something magical about private ceremonies.
