Cherry Blossom Bengaluru

As Bengaluru turns pink with cherry blossom-like blooms, almost every resident seems guilty of pulling out their phones and clicking hundreds of pictures because, let’s be honest, they look beautiful! Now, a content creator has taken to social media to playfully call out city folks for their newest floral obsession, and we can’t help but relate.

Cherry Blossom-Like Flower Obsession In Bengaluru

Content creator Nirmal Pillai (@mahlyf_mahrulez) took to Instagram to share a hilarious video playfully calling out Bengalureans for their obsession with cherry blossom-like flowers across Bengaluru. In the video, he is seen with his phone poised to click pictures of the pink trees, even posing with a flower tucked behind his ear. In another shot, he dramatically tosses blossoms into the air, attempting to capture that perfectly candid, Instagram-worthy moment.

In an exaggerated, heavily accented voice, the content creator provides a mock commentary in the background. He hilariously says, “Oh wow! So pretty, nice, looking nice! Oh pink colour! Pink colour! Wow, falling flowers on me! Woow, cherry blossoms, wow. Well, it’s actually jacaran… well, pink!”, poking fun at how quick people are to label every bloom as a cherry blossom.

Many people in the comments section pointed out the correct name of the flowers, while others couldn’t help but agree to be obsessed with these cheery blossom-like flowers in Bengaluru.

One user asked, “Isn’t that jacarandas?”

“It’s so accurate!” another comment read.

“Feels like a personal attack!” one of the comments read.

“Stop calling me out,” another user said in the comments.
