IndiGo is all set to take another big step in its international journey. The airline has announced that it will start direct flights between Mumbai and Copenhagen (Denmark) from October 8, 2025. For Indian travellers, this is great news because it means reaching Northern Europe will now be easier, faster, and more comfortable.
IndiGo Announces Direct Flights Between Mumbai And Copenhagen
This new route makes Copenhagen IndiGo’s 44th international and 138th overall destination, demonstrating the airline’s rapid growth. The flights will run three times a week and will be operated using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, an aircraft leased from Norse Atlantic Airways, CNBC TV18 reported. IndiGo has taken a significant step with the Dreamliner, renowned for its smoother flying experience and long-haul comfort.
You can choose to fly in IndiGoStretch, the airline’s premium service, or economy class. While IndiGoStretch offers free hot meals, drinks and in-flight entertainment with about 300 hours of films, TV series and music, Economy will keep things straightforward and reasonably priced.
Copenhagen is a gateway to the entire Nordic region, making it a strategic choice of destination for the airline. From here, travellers can easily connect to Sweden, Norway, and other parts of Scandinavia. The city itself is known for its rich history, modern design, bike-friendly streets, and sustainable living. In addition to tourists, business and student travellers will also benefit from this route.
