Maharashtra’s First Airplane Restaurant

There have been various airplane restaurants across Indian cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Noida. As per NDTV, these restaurants inspired Milind Shinde, who wanted to offer something beyond the usual highway eateries. So, he decided to bring one to Maharashtra. Milind bought the plane in 2023 and spent nearly two years customising the interiors before opening it to the public at the end of 2025.

The experience at this restaurant is truly memorable. Guests receive a boarding pass priced at ₹250. You can click selfies in the cockpit, and as soon as you enter the airplane, you’ll be greeted like you’re boarding a flight. Also, don’t forget to explore the photo-friendly corners inside. Families with children will love it too. The indoor seating can accommodate around 75 diners, and the restaurant also has outdoor seating for the growing crowd.

The menu is completely vegetarian, along with Jain and Rajasthani specialities. Skilled chefs from Uttarakhand and trained Jain chefs prepare dishes like Paneer Lajawab, Paneer Lababdar, Lasuni Paneer, Paneer Hariyali Tikka Masala, Singapuri Noodles, and Singapuri Fried Rice.

Over time, Brownstone Air Dine has become a popular stop for travellers heading to Satara, Kolhapur, and other southern Maharashtra destinations.
