As protests by the Cockroach Janta Party over the reported NEET-UG 2026 paper leak gathered momentum at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar on Monday, people from across the country extended support by sending food to the protesters. People Show Support To Protest By Ordering Food On Swiggy, Zomato
One such delivery has especially caught the internet’s attention. In a now-viral video, a Zomato delivery partner is seen showing up at the protest site in the middle of heavy rain, wearing a raincoat and helmet as he hands over a food packet meant for the protesters.
While making the delivery, the delivery partner stated that the order had been placed by a man from Mumbai. “Anuj naam ka bhaiya hai Mumbai, Maharashtra se… Inhone bola hai ki khaana Jantar Mantar pe jo koi bhookha vyakti hai usse de dena. Vo online pay kar diya paisa,” he said. Adding that Anuj Rawat from Mumbai had urged him to give the food to anyone hungry at the protest site after paying for it online.
The people filming the video thanked both Anuj Rawat for the thoughtful gesture and the Zomato delivery partner for enduring the rain to ensure the food reached the protesters. The heartwarming clip has since gone viral across social media platforms, with many praising the act of kindness.
Food, Chai & Snacks Pour In For Protestors
The Mumbai man was not the only individual to support the protesters through food deliveries. At around 2:15 am on Monday, the Sachkhand Foundation shared a video that showed several food packets from outlets such as McDonald’s arriving at the protest site.
In the video, a volunteer said, “People are sending food through Zomato and Swiggy, McDonald’s, Domino’s, rolls, biryani and much more so that the service here continues and the protesters and students do not face any difficulty.”
Another viral video posted on Instagram showed a temporary tea stall set up near the protest area, where volunteers distributed free tea and snacks to demonstrators.

This is not the first time such gestures have been seen during the ongoing protests. Earlier this month, videos of food, snacks and beverages being delivered to protesters through Blinkit, Instamart, Zomato and Swiggy had also gone viral, with many people showing their support from different parts of the country.
