Swiggy Dineout is bringing back its flagship dining property, the Great Indian Restaurant Festival (GIRF), with a quirky new twist. This year, the festival has been reimagined as the Great Indian Ravi Festival, drawing inspiration from the internet’s current fascination with actor Ravi Kishan. Running from September 14 to October 24, 2026, the campaign uses the tagline “Discount Followsss My Brothaaaar”, a playful take on one of Kishan’s viral dialogues, while keeping dining discounts at the centre of the festival. As part of the festival, customers can avail of up to 50% off at more than 57,000 restaurants across 84+ cities in India. The participating outlets include cafés, pubs, bars, luxury restaurants and family dining establishments. Diners can also get an additional 10% instant discount on HDFC Bank cards, along with 10% back as DineCash on every booking made through Dineout. The rebranding goes beyond simply changing the festival’s name. Swiggy Dineout has built the entire campaign around Ravi Kishan, whose dialogues, expressions and mannerisms have recently gained renewed popularity across social media. The actor, who has been a familiar face in Indian cinema for decades, has become a popular part of internet culture, with his clips and dialogues being widely remixed and shared.

For the campaign, Ravi Kishan takes on more than the traditional role of a brand ambassador. He becomes the face and personality of the entire festival, featuring prominently across its campaign communication.

Swiggy GIRF To Revolve Around Ravi Kishan

The flagship film presents him as a larger-than-life character offering his own take on life, while incorporating internet-favourite references such as “Jaldi the Late” and “Home from Work” into the world of dining and discounts.

Dhruvish Thakkar, AVP Marketing and Revenue, Swiggy Dineout, said the platform has previously collaborated with trending personalities and internet icons for GIRF but decided to take the idea further this year by building the entire festival around Kishan. The festival will be available across established dining hubs such as Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Chennai, as well as destinations including Goa, Jaipur, Indore, Coimbatore, Chandigarh, Lucknow and Udaipur.
