Littering in public spaces has been a long-standing problem in India. Over the years, many tourists have praised certain places for their cleanliness, while others have criticised how litter is ruining some of the country’s most beautiful destinations. Now, a viral video from Meghalaya shared by a foreigner has once again brought this issue into focus. Scroll down to know more.

Foreigner Calls Out Man For Littering On Road

Taking to his social media handle, YouTuber Paduhaki (@paduhaki), who got married to a Meghalaya girl, shared a video where he can be seen confronting an Indian man. While travelling on the road, he saw a man throwing several plastic water bottles on the roadside. Unable to ignore the act, the foreigner stepped in and confronted the man. What shocked him the most was witnessing such behaviour in one of the cleanest and most scenic regions of India.

In the video, the foreigner says that he lives in Meghalaya and points out the car’s registration number and the driver. When confronted, the driver claims there was no dustbin nearby, saying, “There is no dustbin”. However, a third person then points out a dustbin close to the spot. After this, two people step out of the car, collect the plastic water bottles, and dispose of them in the dustbin.
