Uber has launched Train Ticket Booking on its app in partnership with ixigo, allowing users to book train tickets, check their PNR status and book Uber rides to and from railway stations, all in one place.
Uber Launches Train Ticket Booking With Ixigo
The new feature expands Uber’s intercity travel offerings in India and combines ixigo’s train-ticketing technology with Uber’s first- and last-mile connectivity. The aim is to make the entire journey, from reaching the station to getting to the final destination, more seamless. Train travel continues to be one of India’s most preferred modes of long-distance transport, with Indian Railways carrying 741 crore passengers in FY2025–26. Through the partnership, users can now plan their train journey and station transfers through a single app.

Uber said the launch builds on its existing presence at railway stations across India, where it operates dedicated pickup and drop-off zones. The company plans to expand this connectivity to more major railway stations.
With the addition of train bookings, Uber’s mobility services now include Moto, Auto, Cars, Metro, Intercity Cars, Intercity Buses and Train Ticket Booking.
