Udaipur Witnesses Strong Tourist Footfall
The new flights come at a time when Udaipur continues to attract a growing number of visitors. According to Rajasthan Department of Tourism data reported earlier this year, the city welcomed around 21.6 lakh tourists in 2025. Domestic travellers accounted for nearly 20 lakh of these visits, while around 1.6 lakh were foreign tourists. The 2025 figure was Udaipur’s highest tourist footfall in eight years, with domestic visitors driving most of the increase.
The city’s average monthly tourist footfall also rose to nearly 1.8 lakh in 2025, compared with around 94,700 in 2018. The new service will also strengthen connectivity from Noida International Airport, which began commercial operations on June 15, 2026. IndiGo was the first airline to operate from the airport, with its inaugural flight arriving from Lucknow.
