However, the latest video shows a completely different picture, with trekkers struggling to climb the narrow steps without waiting.
Harihar Fort is currently extremely crowded, and many people have advised others to avoid visiting the spot for now. As the video went viral, several social media users were shocked to see the massive crowd gathered at the fort. One user joked, “Itne to Mughal soldiers bhi nhi aaye honge is fort pe attack karne.”
What Makes This Trekking Spot Special?
Harihar Fort, also known as Harshagad, is one of Maharashtra’s most popular trekking spots. This fort is located in Nashik and stands on a unique triangular rock formation. But what really makes it exciting is the famous rock-cut staircase. The 117 steep steps are carved directly into the rock and offer trekkers a thrilling vibes.
Once you reach the top, the views make the challenging journey worth it. Harihar Fort stands at 3,676 feet and offers stunning views of the Sahyadri landscape. At the top, you can also find small temples, a stone pond and an old two-room palace.
