But a video posted by Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma might just completely change your mind. His video has proved that Assam is now emerging as one of the fastest-developing states in India!
CM Shares Video Highlighting Assam’s Development
“Proof that a few years of good governance can transform anything.” This is what Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote under a video he uploaded on his official Instagram page. His video shows glimpses of amazing infrastructure, highways, landmarks and auditoriums which at first glance look like they are from another major city like Bengaluru, Chennai, Mumbai or Noida.
But no, all of the visuals are from Assam itself. The video proves that Assam is experiencing rapid development. In recent years, the state has undoubtedly seen significant infrastructural, industrial and technological advancements.

Significant Infrastructural Growth In The State
You would like to know that Guwahati’s Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport has been making waves since its inauguration in 2025. The new terminal at the airport became viral for its architecture, which was inspired by bamboo and had an indoor forest-like feel. According to NDTV, the T2 of Guwahati airport also won the International Architectural Award 2025 in the transport category.
Apart from this, Assam’s highway network is also undergoing rapid improvement. Many corridors are being upgraded. Just last year, the state also inaugurated the Swahid Smarak Kshetra in Boragaon, Guwahati, to honour 855 martyrs of Assam. The memorial features a monumental 55-metre-tall statue and an underground roll of honour. All of these are just a few examples of Assam’s development. We are sure the state has many more projects in its pipeline.
Many netizens were also quite delighted with the video posted by the Chief Minister. One of them wrote, “Great vision comes from a great leader.” Another user commented, “Super proud.”
