France Transit Visa

Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently unveiled a series of new measures aimed at strengthening links between India and France. From visa-free airport transit to the expansion of UPI services in France, here’s everything you need to know.

Visa-Free Transit In France For Indian Travellers

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was recently on a visit to Paris, France, where he addressed the Indian diaspora. According to DD News, he announced that visa-free airport transit for Indian nationals has begun at French airports. This means Indian passport holders will not need a visa for a layover in France. They can spend their time in the international transit zone of French airports while travelling to a third country. This new rule is expected to make travel easier and more hassle-free for Indians.

However, it is important to note that visa-free airport transit does not mean you can leave the airport. Apart from that, PM Narendra Modi also announced the expansion of Unified Payments Interface (UPI) services in France. The move will facilitate instant connectivity and seamless payments between the two countries. Making payments and purchases could become much easier.
