Bengaluru Airport Introduces ‘PreSecure’ For Travellers
This is the first time that Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru has launched this kind of service for travellers. A facility called ‘PreSecure’ will allow passengers departing from Terminal 1 to skip long security queues. According to Deccan Herald, passengers will simply have to reserve a preferred security screening slot through the BLR Pulse mobile application before arriving at the airport.
The pilot programme has been launched by Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL) as a slot-based fast-track screening service. Passengers who book a slot will be directed to a dedicated security lane, which will help reduce waiting times, especially during peak travel hours. They can avail of this service free of charge as part of the trial at Terminal 1 of Bengaluru airport.

How To Use This Service?
According to Deccan Herald, using this service is quite easy. Passengers will have to scan their boarding pass on the BLR Pulse app and select an available screening slot. Keep in mind that reservations can be made up to 75 minutes before departure. A dedicated screening lane is located near check-in counter 86 at Terminal 1 of the airport.
According to Moneycontrol, the service is free during its pilot phase, but BIAL plans to make PreSecure a paid service once it is fully rolled out. Moreover, the app is simple and easy to use. It will allow passengers to save a lot of time at the airport. The authorities are expecting a positive response to this new facility.
