Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal announced the launch on the social media platform X. He shared that the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has introduced Bharat GI as a national umbrella intellectual property brand. The goal is simple! India wants to present its unique Geographical Indication (GI) products to the world with strong global recognition and premium positioning. The initiative carries the tagline “A World Exclusive.”
Through his post, Goyal basically told the world, “Ready for a cup of something truly exclusive?”. He invited everyone to experience Indian GI products, starting with Indian GI Coffee. He pointed out that these products carry centuries of craftsmanship, local wisdom, and a unique geographical identity that simply cannot be replicated.

Where To Find Bharat GI Coffee Lounge?
Visitors can explore this initiative at the Bharat GI Coffee Lounge located at Bharat Mandapam, hall 14, first floor. The showcase runs from February 17 to 20 during the summit.
