12,000 Chhath Special Trains In Service This Year

While talking to the media, ECR General Manager Chhatrasal Singh mentioned that the Railway authorities are working to ensure safety, smooth arrival and departure of travellers, and prevent any untoward incidents. Indian Railways constructed holding areas at all major stations in Bihar and last minute touch-ups will also be completed by Thursday, the ECR General Manager said. He further explained that a central monitoring system has been set up at the Patliputra Rail Complex, and similar systems will be installed at all divisional offices to keep track of station traffic.
Another good news for travellers is that many unannounced trains will also be in service from major terminals, in case there are a large number of people without reservations. Also focussing on safety, Railway authorities have set up more security personnel at major stations during Chhath Puja.
